The Maritime Forum brings together the entire Norwegian maritime industry, with over 700 contributors helping to develop a world leading and integrated maritime commerce. The forum allows dialogue between the industry, authorities and educational and research environments, such as shipping companies, ports, government agencies and the Norwegian Maritime Directorate.
Electronic Chart Centre (ECC) were privileged to be asked to present at this years Maritime Forum, which took place in Haugesund in May of this year. Kirsten Bøe, General Manager ECC presented “Vi slo Lyset på” / “We switched on the light” – which looked at the use of new data types for navigation and planning purposes, creating practical value for the maritime industry by “switching on the light” on what lays beneath the surface of our waters.
